Life Style Up-grade

Enough of intoxicating the body, Beb, look at your self, you are way to awesome for this.... what ever you call it. Now forget that, whatever it was, because this is big. It's here, and its staying. It's the Lifestyle Upgrade!!!

Am sooo excited about it, no more procrastination, that's the beginning of the lifestyle up grade. Its now or nothing. Lets check out my top 8 fave items on my life style upgrade list;

1. Eat healthy

Less of the junk and more of the boiled foods, vegetables and fruits. Drink more water, whenever I want something little sweet I actually do natural juice or milk. Beautiful skin is bound to catch up with me eventually.

2. Work out already

Start jogging, or hit the pool, find a gym or yoga partner. When people start checking out the abs, it will all be worth it.

3. Dress up

Now that your looking healthy, let your wardrobe reflect that as well. Bright colours always do it for me, they always seem to carry an aura of freshness. Get the floral, polka dots, yellows and greens. Don't forget that really awesome jacket always comes in handy, an awesome jacket is a definite must have.

4. Always Smell good

Invest  in a good perfume or body splash or whatever works for you. Just don't settle for cheap. Because when you smell good, people take you more serious.

5. Stay calm and Avoid rushing

When you rush you always seem to be a little clumsy. Trust me time is in your hands, no one else's, take those strides calmly, don't rush in your speech either, all there trying to defend your self. Take your time and everyone else will feed off your vibes.

6. Be courteous

Always remember to say thank you, Please, good morning, hello. People always remember the polite person. Importantly always leave a tip for good service ONLY!!!. I never tip for horrible services.

7. Stay happy

No one likes hanging around gloomy and party poppers, personally I will avoid you like an extremely bad joke!!!!!

 8. Read a Book

Reading a book always makes you seem deep, not shallow, and importantly really cool. Go out for  lunch alone and pull out a book. There you are with your gorgeous skin, rocking bod reading a book, sooooo cool. Plus you will broaden on your vocabulary. |Please remember to finish the book you started.

I love this list!!! trust me the first part of me acting on it was writing the list, It's never too late.

Gorgeousness here I come

                                                                    XOXO

One Last Kiss

Maybe  I am a feminist, I have never really looked at my self that way, but when it comes to standing up for women, off the chair and up I go. I guess I have just had enough of women playing small countless times, don't get me wrong I love the other species with whom we share this world, but this is girl time we have to have each other's backs.

Yes we are have raging emotions that could run turbines and generate 70% of the world's energy, so please everyone come to terms with that. If you accept that simple fact, life will be much easier for you. Like my 'friend' Pink says " I think that life is too short for this", yes life is too short for explaining our irrational behaviour or regretting past mistakes.

Let's take some time and look on the plus side behind every successful man is a mother, a wife a daughter. If we can lead men to such heights we can definitely get there and beat them at their own game . Raging emotions and totally unexplainable out bursts, embrace those and take charge. Moving forward, achieve the unachievable, travel the world, lend a helping hand, let us eat, pray, love (thanks Julia Roberts)

Get over it already, us too women, get over it, its time for yesterdays' goodbyes and today's hello's.
And that one last kiss,

XOXO.

Confessions of a 20 something Female

So here we are again , 2014, new year new me. That's what we tell our selves year in year out. "I guess this year it shall be less of the mistakes and more of the good judgement"  says the little voice in my head that appears every new year.

But not so far down the road I saw a really cute outfit which looked  size smaller but against my better judgement I still pointed at it and tried it on hoping that my eyes were deceiving me and just maybe this outfit was actually my size. Off my clothes went and on came the super hot outfit. "its just a little tight" i told me self, and against my better judgement I purchased it. And to this day I have put on that outfit only once, and it doesn't look as hot as it did then, so much for new me.

We always go through these motions as women, blaming our selves for the bad decisions or poor choices we made. That loser boyfriend you thought you loved or that hairstyle you knew you would rock but did not work out as planned or that brand new expensive designer watch that was a fake. Name it, countless times we have fallen short of the new us.

But there is hope, there is nothing as beautiful as eventually getting something right after failing at it numerous times. A baby falls time and time again until it finally walks. Lets not be afraid to fail, because its only through the failures that we actually become stronger and 'newer'. If we want to get to the point when we can confidently say new year new me, we have to embrace our mistakes big and small.

Happy new year Girls!!

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE THREE NOBLE PROFESSIONS

This has been spoken of time and time again, what are the noblest professions? Yet I will pose this question back to you, what are the 3 noblest professions? Better still What happened to the 3 noblest professions?
I am not trying to blow some people’s roles out of proportion but on the other hand I cannot shy away from giving credit where it is due.

A Teacher, Doctor and a Religious leader.  I am sure some of you saw this coming may be some of you did not, but this is what i think.
In order for a community to grow substantially you need to have well-trained and enthusiastic teachers to train the community straight from the grass roots. Lets ask our selves;
1. What kind of community do you want to lead if the people have no basic writing and reading skills?
2. What type of education will you expect from demotivated teachers who don’t feel appreciated?
And yet we blame our un-employed youth for their unemployment. ‘ Think out of the box’ they say, but over 50% of these people have been exposed to hopeless learning conditions with dissatisfied teachers, honestly what do you expect them to learn. Do our children want to be teachers? No one wants to go into a profession knowing that they passion for being an educator will just be killed and buried never to be seen again.

The mighty Doctors, this profession over all time has been respected and praised as it so deserves. Long working hours, keeping people healthy and free from disease, its only matter of time before they are driven to start their private businesses because they are not yielding from a Profession that over countless time scales has always been looked at as the ‘big deal’ profession. You ask me, the same doctor you meet at their private clinic is more concerned about a patient  than one at government health Centre.

If you are to build a community, build their mind, keep their bodies healthy, and then enrich their spirits. We are lucky that these religious leaders are called to be content with their earnings simply buy the nature of their calling. But please let us not give them reason to fall short when it comes to building the spirits and hearts in our communities. Trust me there will be a shift in moral up bringing in our communities if we facilitated more of the works of our religious leaders. There will be a fall in crimes; prostitution, theft, murder, rape etc. simply because the people are being taught the differences between right & wrong, good and bad. We say in our anthem ‘Oh Uganda may God up hold thee’, let us not leave God out of the equation.

Let us not lie to the people with mediocre education, where we are having children being promoted from class to class simply to make room for the ever increasing younger population.
Let us not lie to the people, with a substandard health care system, with mothers giving birth on the floors of hospitals, lack of basic drugs in our health centres, inaccessible and disgruntled health workers.
Let us take the bull by the horns, let us speak for the voiceless . Let the only reason a teacher is not going to class be anything else other than what we are capable of changing.
Again I say; To Build a proud nation, build their minds, their bodies and their spirits.
